Some notable fixes include resolving a startup crash for users with POP3 accounts, addressing issues related to downloading message headers from newsgroups, and resolving APOP authentication problems that affected password prompts.
The update also enhances the XMPP chat functionality and improves performance for CalDAV calendars that lack offline support. Users will benefit from better support for large virtual folders and a resolution to a problem where new emails in the POP3 inbox appeared with missing subjects and sender details.
Furthermore, Thunderbird 134 ensures that in-app notifications display correctly in dark mode and addresses inconsistencies in the notification close button across various platforms. Other fixes include resolving an issue in the context menu where clicking "Reply" led to a "Reply-All," optimizing performance in the message list when handling multiple updates, and fixing the interaction of “mailto:” links with the current identity’s composing format.
Additional usability improvements have been implemented, such as enabling the dragging of embedded images from messages to compose windows and ensuring better authentication handling. The release also includes several visual and user experience enhancements along with nine security fixes.
