Today marks a significant milestone for the Finnix Linux distribution, as it celebrates 25 years since its first public release. This occasion is marked by the launch of Finnix 250 (codename Eau Claire), a live Linux distro aimed at casual system administrators.
Ryan Finnie, the creator of Finnix, shared the announcement, reflecting on the journey since March 22, 2000, when Finnix 0.03 was first introduced. Despite its small size, Finnix has a rich collection of Linux utilities for tasks such as system recovery, maintenance, and testing.
