Clark has outlined that this patch adds functionality for various WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) interfaces, which manage power settings on these devices.
The patch specifically implements the "GameZone," "Other Method," and "LENOVO_CAPABILITY_DATA_01" interfaces, enabling better power management options. Clark indicated his efforts to structure the driver for easy future enhancements, allowing for additional interfaces like "Custom Mode" and "Lighting" to be included in subsequent updates.
Testing was conducted directly on the Lenovo Legion Go, and this patch is intended as a replacement for a previous one aimed at adding similar enhancements. It was inspired by the Linux Asus Armoury driver.
